.ASIA is a Domain Extension sponsored by the DotAsia Organization. It is a regional domain for companies, organizations, and individuals based in or having a target audience based in the region of Asia, Australia, and the Pacific.

The Asian Continent houses over 60% of the worlds population. Furthermore, with 3 Asian countries ranking amongst the top 5 Countries with regards to Internet Usage, and Asian Internet users growing by almost 350% every year, Asia is surely heading towards being the Mecca of the Internet Industry very soon. All this translates into .ASIA being the most sought after 'new' TLD.

.ASIA offers you a unique opportunity to cater to the worlds largest and fastest growing market. By having .ASIA in your Product Portfolio, you will multiply your Customer base since it's a multi-country TLD, that can be used to target a huge number of dynamic and fast growing Asian countries.

Anybody! All you need to ensure is that at least one of the Domain Contacts (Registrant, Admin, Tech, or Billing) should reside in one of the .ASIA countries. The Domain Contact used for this purpose, will be referred to as the CED (Charter of Eligibility Declaration) Contact.

List of .ASIA Countries

At the time of applying for a Domain, the CED Contact needs to provide the following additional information to confirm identification:

• Form of Identification (any 1)
  a. Certificate of Incorporation or equivalent business registration certificate issued by the relevant government registry as confirmation of the due incorporation and valid existence of the company b. Act, decree or legislation chartering the formation of an entity c. Societies Registry or equivalent registry for non-corporate entities d. Political Parties Registry e. Passport or Citizenship ID f. Other
• Identification Number / Code of Reference (e.g. Passport number, Business Certificate number, Act or Legislation number/code, etc.)

Landrush is a limited period wherein anyone can apply for their preferred Domain Names before the actual registrations go Live.

The .ASIA Landrush will take place between 20th February and 12th March, 2008. We are, however, accepting applications also before the Landrush begins. The final allocation of the Domains will take place shortly after the Registry goes live. When you apply for a .ASIA Domain Name, there could be 2 possible scenarios-

• You are the sole applicant: In case you are the only one applying for the concerned Domain Name throughout the Landrush, then the Domain Name will be allocated to you shortly after the Landrush.
• There are multiple applicants: In case there is more than one application for that Domain Name, your Customer will need to participate in an auction process to win it. This auction will take place shortly after the Landrush period ends. If any of your Customers' Domains do qualify for an auction, he will be notified about it via an email. The email will also give him all the necessary details about the auction process.
  Note:
  • Minimum registration period is 2 years, as mandated by the .ASIA Registry.
  • You will not be able to see the .ASIA Domain Names that have been applied for, in your respective Control Panels during the Landrush. Only once a Domain is successfully registered, you will be able to view/manage it in the Control Panel.

Your cost for one year registration is INR 949.00 . This includes the application charges as well. Since, the Registry has mandated a minimum 2 years registration, successfully registering a .ASIA Domain will cost you $30. Also, you have the freedom to set your Selling Price for .ASIA, and hence can charge your Customers as per your Pricing strategy.

When you apply for a .ASIA Domain through us, funds worth 2 years of Registration will be deducted from you advance account with you. At the same time, INR 1898.00 will be locked in your Advance account with us. Once the Landrush ends:

• If you successfully register the Domain: The locked amount of INR 1898 will be deducted from your Account only once the registration completes.
• If the outcome of the auction is not in your favor: Once the Auction is completed, your locked amount of INR 1898 will be released, and you will be refunded the entire amount that was charged at the time of application.

• Competitive Prices: Get the most competitive rates in the industry, for a host of quality services.
• Full Refund: If you do not get the Domain Name that he applied for, then a complete refund of the application amount will be given. Mmost providers are charging an application fee irrespective of whether the Domain is registered or not
